PHOTOS ☒ No 6. SOURCE military and civilian 7. LENGTH OF OBSERVATION 3 min 8. NUMBER OF OBJECTS one 9. COURSE 10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING Brilliant yellowish orange, round, size of half dollar. Object appears like a rotating beacon and rotates at about 60 cycles a min casting a very brilliant beam. Seen 2-3° above horizon. Disappeared instantaneously. 11. COMMENTS A team of investigators went to the scene of the sightings and were able to view the object reported. 3 days after the sighting a T-33 a/c flew over the area and saw a rotating beacon mounted on a 50 ft pole, which had the same characteristics as that of the object. Weather at time of sighting was: 100-200 ft ceiling with 1/2 mile visibility. It is possible that this was the first time witness saw light under these conditions. Therefore, it is probable that object was rotating beacon. 12. CONCLUSIONS ☒ Other Prob rotating beacon ATIC FORM 329 (REV 26 SEP 52)
