An AC-130 gunship crew on a live-fire exercise observed approximately 25 UAPs — "cold orbs" flying at 250 to 1,300 MPH with no visible propulsion. When the crew pulled the trigger on the 105mm cannon, the UAPs reacted before the gun fired:

Two orbs exhibited coordinated behavior "similar to how dolphins playfully swim in a pod," with the analyst noting: "They knew they were flying together." The gunship's DVR "inexplicably failed," destroying all video evidence. The report was disseminated to CIA, DIA, NSA, DNI, FBI, NASA, FAA, DHS, and State Department.

Col. H.M. McCoy, Chief of Intelligence at AMC, formally concluded that the flying discs, cigar-shaped objects, and "balls of light" were not American. The report explicitly considered an interplanetary origin:

They plotted sighting frequency against planetary approach distances and found a possible correlation — hedged as "it may be purely a coincidence." This is the Air Force's own procurement command raising interplanetary origin as a serious hypothesis in a classified document signed by a Colonel.

This is the foundational document that launched Project SIGN. Three-star general Nathan F. Twining — who would later become Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff — declared the phenomenon real:

He then raised the possibility of unknown nuclear propulsion:

This was 1947 — two years after Hiroshima.

A Navy F-8C Crusader pilot engaged a delta-shaped object the size of a jet fighter that outran him at Mach 3+. The USS Gyatt tracked it on radar for 21 minutes at 3,800+ knots over 300+ nautical miles:

The Navy initially attributed it to the YF-12A (OXCART — the CIA's most secret reconnaissance aircraft), but the CIA's own Office of Special Activities proved it was not the OXCART. The object outperformed every known aircraft in the U.S. inventory and remains unidentified.

The Navy's premier imagery analysis center analyzed two films and computed extraordinary performance figures:

They ruled out birds, aircraft, and balloons. Cleared physicists and astronomers were consulted and could not explain the objects:

The objects were described as "oblate or disk shaped, color: blue-white, and maximum and minimum size: 98 and 16 feet."

Two witnesses at the same 2026 sighting independently reported their analog mechanical watches jumped exactly 25 minutes ahead — while all digital devices (phones, vehicle clocks, digital watches) remained accurate. Both were interviewed separately by the FBI and gave consistent accounts:

One witness was a U.S. Government Special Agent; the other was described as "squared away" by a colleague who had known him for years. The witnesses noted they felt "no fear or agitation" — which they themselves found "strange given their backgrounds."

Swedish defense officials privately told the U.S. military attaché they believed the ghost rockets were Soviet V-1 missiles launched from Peenemünde. Then they publicly changed their assessment to avoid provoking the USSR:

The report also documents a credible Swedish Air Force pilot sighting of a wingless, rudderless 50-foot cigar-shaped object at 400 mph. One of the earliest documented cases of a government suppressing UAP information for diplomatic reasons — a pattern that would repeat for decades.
