Highly documented but obscure maritime encounters involving Japanese vessels in the South Atlantic near the Falkland Islands. Case 1: December 1984, five witnesses saw an erratic yellow light performing abrupt vertical descents and high-speed zigzags over 90 minutes. Case 2: December 1986, a tanker-sized object tracked on radar at Mach 4 making right-angle turns, completely invisible to the naked eye, ending with a loud boom and horizon flash.
